The Publication of Intercultural Communication

Culture is national as well as global. Focusing on The Pyramid of Khufu of Egypt to the Taj Mahal of India, and pursuing to the Great Wall of China; associating Chinese shadow puppetry with British opera, superadding the American Oscars. Keeping our eyes on the west to East, meanwhile look back at the ancient times till today. Culture is everywhere, constantly developing and colliding all the time. Listen, the hard ice of Siberia runs into the winds of South Asia and plays a truly incredible song. Look, the Yellow River rushing out of the mainland, comes across the Bohai Sea and emerging an extraordinary view that the limpid water alternated with muddy water.
Cultural exchange is not only an important condition for the progress of world culture, but also an inherent requirement for promoting cultural globalization and diversity. Cultural exchange is not only about the people, the transplant of products, the mutual influence of customs and manners such as basic necessities of life, wedding and funerals, but also the spread of ideology, religion, literature and art.
It is in this context that our publication was officially published. Intercultural Communication is an academic journal, which is an important front for international scholars and graduate students to cohesion their wisdom and carry out activities of academic communication. It is possesses the peculiarities of advanced, timeliness, cultural, readability and comprehensive, meanwhile established on the field of culture, language, education. Under the premise of “focus on the international cultural exchange, facilitating the academic development of language and education” for the target, it records and studies the cultures, education and languages of countries all over the world from a keen and unique perspective, and presents a rich landscape of world culture.
The world was shattered by a sudden epidemic at the beginning of our publication. Although the hills and rills set us apart, we stand together regardless of situation. Facing the challenge common to the mankind, people join hands to resist the virus from all over the world. In spite of such an environment, the cultural exchange of people around the world has not stopped, people just make an appointment to meet online even if can’t face to face. The epidemic has not stopped cultural exchanges, the game of Go has opened up a new living space through the Internet, and the volunteers of Confucius Institutes are still standing firm in different countries around the world, suspending classes and launching online courses
one after another…
The epidemic will eventually pass, and the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance forged by people around the world in these tough times will surely promote tremendous development of culture. Let’s stand together to create new opportunities for cultural exchanges and cooperation in the world. We also hope that you will contribute actively and inspire a new era of world culture with your wisdom.
